The Southern Region Integrated Pest Management Center (SRIPMC) fosters the development and adoption of Integrated Pest Management (IPM), a science-based approach to managing pests in ways that generate economic, environmental and human health benefits. We work in partnership with stakeholders from agricultural, urban and rural settings to identify and address regional priorities for research, education and outreach.

Feb-03-2012 Ryegrass survey reveals disturbing resistance trends in Arkansas
According to a recent survey of over 250 ryegrass samples herbicide, resistance is on the rise in Arkansas ryegrass populations. This survey involved both random samples and samples taken from fields where either burndown or post-applied wheat herbicides had failed. The survey also included samples from industrial sites, roadsides and commercially available seed.
