Soybean Rust Updates

Posted 5.6.05 - Semiole County, Georgia is the first county outside of Florida to report soybean rust in 2005. This is the first report on soybean in 2005. Rust was found on volunteer soybean. Scouting continues throughout the southeast with emphasis on kudzu and volunteer soybean. Source: http://www.sbrusa.net/

Posted 5.6.05 - New Florida find on May 2, 2005 in Dade County, FL.  These detections were on kudzu leaves.  The finds were confirmed by microscopy by the FL Division of Plant Industry and by PCR by the UF Department of Plant Pathology.
