State Network Project web page standards
State Network Projects (SNPs) funded
by the Southern IPM Center are required to present a web site on the
world wide web. Current standards are shown here. Should standards be revised,
SNP sites are expected to comply within a reasonable period of time.
The site:
- must clearly address regional priorities established by the Southern IPM
Center.
- must be compatible with regional and national IPM Center sites to
the extent that information on the SNP sites can contribute seamlessly
to the larger information databases maintained regionally and nationally.
- must include contact information for the program and the project
leader.
- must include or be linked to a project description, abstract, or
summary for the SNP.
- must include or be linked to all annual progress reports for the
SNP.
- must comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act Amendments
to the Workforce Investment Act of 1998. Basic information about this
can be found at http://www.webaim.org/standards/508/checklist
- must include links to the Southern IPM Center and other appropriate entities.
The home page:
- must prominently display, near the project or site heading, the phrase*
“the (state name) component of the Southern IPM Center.”
- must include the following statement or a substitute approved by
Southern IPM Center leadership: “This site is supported, in part, with
funding from the Southern IPM Center.”
All pages:
- must include the phrase “the (state name) component of the Southern
IPM Center,” with the words “Southern IPM Center”*
hyperlinked to the Center web site.
- must include an indication of the date created or the most recent
update (whichever is more recent), and the name of a person responsible
for maintaining the page.
- must conform to all format and content standards to be developed
by the Southern IPM Center.
